Kombos: Turkey Can Play a Constructive Role in the Region
Republic of Cyprus Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos stated that the decision to adopt a constructive role in the region, rather than creating discord, lies in Turkey's hands.
Speaking at the 20th Economist Conference held in South Cyprus, Kombos announced his upcoming visits to Israel and Palestine, highlighting his government's focus on regional diplomacy.
According to Fileleftheros, Kombos addressed various international issues, including Ukraine, Lebanon, Israel, and Iran, emphasizing the need for improved communication between the EU and the US on these matters.
Touching on Turkey’s role in the region, Kombos remarked that the potential for fostering cooperation instead of conflict depends on Turkey’s actions.
