During the trial, the CD that contained footage taken by the crime scene investigation police officers at the scene of the incident was found to be nonfunctional. The CD is regarded as important evidence in the case.

The defendants in the case, Ömer Tunç, Veysel Sare, and Musa Çiçek, who are currently in custody, appeared in court. The police took extensive security measures during the trial.

Dr. Özcan Hüdaverdi, a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Kyrenia Akçiçek Hospital, testified as the third witness in the case. He recounted the events of the day of the incident, stating that they received information about a gunshot wound from the 112 command center. Dr. Hüdaverdi explained that they immediately dispatched an ambulance to the location where the incident occurred.

Upon arriving at the scene, Dr. Hüdaverdi described the area as crowded and noted that he rushed to assist Halil Falyalı, who was lying on the ground between the sidewalk and the car. He mentioned that due to the darkness and the narrowness of the area, they first provided initial medical aid before transferring Falyalı to the ambulance. From there, he was transported to Lefkosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and later to Near East University Hospital for further treatment.

Hüdaverdi’s testimony shed light on the urgency and severity of the situation on the day of the incident.

As the fourth witness, Burak Ekinci, an Incident Scene Examination Specialist from Kyrenia Police Department's Criminal Investigation Unit, testified in court. He described his visit to the crime scene to conduct an examination and detailed his findings and actions taken on the day following the incident. Ekinci explained that he collected fingerprints from a car with license plate ZPH 927 near a shopping center in Karakum, as well as a bullet core from a residence near the scene.

Additionally, Ekinci testified that on February 10, 2022, he photographed a bullet core found in the front panel of the car with license plate SL 001. He also collected soil samples from the crime scene and photographed two Kalashnikov rifles and a 9mm pistol found on a bridge on the Ozanköy-Çatalköy road.

After the witnesses' testimonies, the presiding judge ordered the trial to be adjourned to October 27, 2023, due to the malfunctioning CD. The judge highlighted the importance of obtaining the necessary evidence and ensuring the trial proceeds smoothly.
