Isias Hotel Case Continues in Adiyaman, Turkey

The trial related to the collapse of the Isias Hotel in Adiyaman during the earthquakes on February 6, originating from Kahramanmaras, resulting in 72 deaths, is ongoing today.

In the trial conducted by the 3rd Heavy Penal Court of Adiyaman, after hearing the defendants yesterday, today the families (plaintiffs) will be heard.

The second day's session started at 09:00 (08:00 in TRNC time).

In the previous day's session, which started around 09:00 in the morning and ended at 21:00 in the evening, the defendants were heard.

The public prosecutor decided to continue the detention of the arrested defendants and adjourned the hearing until 09:00 this morning.

The indictment, which seeks a prison sentence of 2 years and 8 months to 22 years and 6 months for the 5 arrested out of 11 defendants of Isias Hotel on charges of "causing the death and injury of more than one person by conscious negligence," was accepted, and the first trial was held yesterday.

Extensive security measures were taken at the courthouse due to the trial related to the hotel where 72 people, including Turkish Cypriot athletes, teachers, and tour guides, lost their lives.

The families continue their struggle for "Possible Intent."

During the trial yesterday regarding the collapse of the hotel, the children of Ahmet Bozkurt, considered the partners of the hotel, stated that all responsibility for the hotel lies with their fathers.
