KTAMS: Hunger Threshold for a Family of Four Set at 27,082 TL
The Cyprus Turkish Civil Servants Union (KTAMS) announced that, as of October 31, the hunger threshold for a family of four stands at 27,082 TL. The report, prepared using data from the Ministry of Health’s Department of Inpatient Treatment Institutions, outlined the necessary food expenses for healthy nutrition.
According to the report, the mandatory daily food expense for an adult woman is 232.13 TL, totaling 6,963.90 TL monthly; for an adult man, 242.77 TL daily, equating to 7,283.10 TL monthly; for a 15-19-year-old child, 257.02 TL daily, amounting to 7,710.60 TL monthly; and for a 4-6-year-old child, 170.82 TL daily, resulting in 5,124.60 TL monthly.
KTAMS noted that the decrease in the hunger threshold compared to the previous month was due to the decline in the prices of some food items listed in the October bulletin of the Statistics Department.
