Speaking at the parliamentary podium regarding the early election proposal submitted by CTP on October 8, 2024, Erhürman emphasized the need for immediate discussions on the issue. He clarified that while their request for urgent debate was delayed through consensus, Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu’s claim that the request had been withdrawn was false. "This is not true," he asserted.

Erhürman also accused the government of being incapable of self-management, saying, "You are incapable of governing yourselves. The state the country is in is evident." He pointed out the contradictions within the coalition partners’ statements on early elections, noting that while the major coalition partner acknowledges their dissatisfaction with the rising cost of living, the minor partner suggests that a new government should be in place by 2025, which he deemed a sign of political collapse.

Highlighting the lack of implementation for plans in economic, social, and cultural development, Erhürman criticized the absence of a development plan or population policy as the country entered the fourth quarter of the year. He stated, "You can’t even count the population of the country."

Erhürman also pointed to failures in economic management, particularly in the tourism, higher education, and construction sectors. He noted that developments in economic relations with the south of Cyprus were working against the north, adding, "We said the economy is shifting south, and the numbers now clearly show that."

The CTP leader further criticized the government’s policies in education, healthcare, and port management, claiming that even earthquake risks were being ignored. He also mentioned the Chamber of Commerce’s inability to receive responses to requests for meetings, calling it an unprecedented situation.

Finally, Erhürman drew attention to the discrepancies between the police and government statements regarding a lost baby case, stressing that society would not forget such incidents. "What you’ve done is a guarantee of what you will do," he concluded.
