Fake Diploma Case: Barış Sel's Trial Postponed to January 13
The trial of Barış Sel, who was arrested in March last year in connection with a fake diploma investigation at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU) and later released on bail pending trial, has been postponed to January 13.
Sel, who was serving as the Famagusta Police Chief at the time of his arrest, appeared before the Omorfo District Court today. The court ordered the preliminary inquiry hearing to be scheduled for January 13.
In connection with the same investigation, KSTU's secretary-general and shareholder, Serdal Gündüz, also appeared in court alongside Sel. Gündüz is set to appear in court again on the same day.
