Tatar: The 4th Development Plan Will Strengthen the Country's Independence Struggle

Tatar highlighted that the figures within the plan would also significantly contribute to the TRNC's independence struggle, emphasizing that there are continuous applications for investment in the country's industry.

Expressing their goal to leave a strong and prosperous country for future generations, Tatar said, "I would like to thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has helped us in every matter and has spared no effort in the development of the TRNC."

Tatar pointed out that despite the high cost of living, currency crisis, pandemic, Russia-Ukraine war, and earthquake disaster, the TRNC has developed thanks to Turkey's support, even though it is an unrecognized country.

Tatar stated, "Despite the high cost of living, currency crisis, pandemic, Russia-Ukraine war, and earthquake disaster, we have sent the message to other world states that we are here, and we can stand on our own feet."

Speaking about the border crossings between Northern Cyprus and Southern Cyprus, Tatar recalled his meeting with Nikos Christodoulides to ensure smooth passage for citizens of both sides and tourists.

Tatar mentioned that they proposed the opening of the Haspolat and Akıncılar gates, but the issue has not been resolved due to Christodoulides' insistence on transit passages.

He emphasized that they would continue to strive to find a common ground and highlighted the importance of the upcoming meeting between Güneş Onar and Menelaos Menelau.
