Onar and Menelau Meet, No Statement Made
As part of the Cyprus negotiations, Presidential Special Representative Güneş Onar and Greek Cypriot Negotiator Menelaos Menelau held a meeting. No statement was made regarding the meeting, but the process is expected to continue at the leaders' level next week.
Presidential Special Representative Güneş Onar and Greek Cypriot Negotiator Menelaos Menelau met today. However, both parties decided not to disclose any details about the meeting.
According to information obtained by Kıbrıs Postası, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative and Head of the Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, will meet separately with both leaders tomorrow. Stewart is expected to make a brief statement to the press following these meetings.
It is learned that a meeting at the leaders' level is planned for next week, but the day and time have not yet been determined. The schedule for the meeting will be finalized after the contacts to be held tomorrow.
