Mütercimler: "If This Negligence Continues, Cyprus Will Be Lost"

Speaking on Sözcü TV, Mütercimler stated, "They have turned Cyprus into a platform where no one knows who is in control."

Highlighting ongoing struggles on the island, he stressed that the lack of a consistent and determined approach could lead to Cyprus being lost entirely.

"Without Determination, There Can Be No Gains"

Mütercimler emphasized the importance of consistency in statements and actions concerning Cyprus, noting that international relations depend on the credibility of a country’s policies. "To achieve gains in global politics, one must demonstrate consistency in discourse and actions. Are you showing determination or not? Do you possess the necessary power elements? All of these factors are taken into account," he explained.

"Why Is a Presidential Palace Being Built in Cyprus?"

Touching upon the construction of the Presidential Palace in Cyprus, Mütercimler questioned its necessity, saying, "Why is a new Presidential Palace being built in Cyprus? This is incomprehensible. The local population is reacting to it, and young Cypriots are leaving the island. There is a major danger—young people are abandoning Cyprus. Why? Because unemployment is a significant issue. Cyprus has been turned into a gambling haven. This is one of Turkey’s biggest mistakes."

Mütercimler further criticized the island's economic structure, arguing that it is built on unsustainable foundations. "They are pushing Cyprus towards relying on gambling revenues. The island has become a hub for illegal money flow, a chaotic and absurd platform where no one knows what is really happening," he asserted.
