Man Arrested for Embezzling 183,805 TL from Workplace in Nicosia

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, an employee of a construction materials business, identified as H.İ.T. (M, 49), allegedly collected payments from customers for materials sold on behalf of the company but failed to deliver the money to the business, instead keeping it for himself.

The incident, which took place between November 2024 and February 2025, came to the attention of the police, leading to an investigation and the subsequent arrest of H.İ.T..

Cigar Theft in Alayköy: One Suspect Arrested

Meanwhile, police have arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of 13 boxes of cigars from a food and tobacco shop in the Alayköy Industrial Zone between March 1 and 3.

During the investigation, police identified and arrested the suspect, İ.T. (M, 23). Further questioning revealed that İ.T. had delivered six of the stolen cigar boxes to a business in Kyrenia that sells alcoholic beverages, operated by B.M. (M, 43), with the intent to sell them.

Legal action has been initiated against B.M. for accepting the stolen goods at a price below market value, while the cigars have been seized as evidence.
