Another Life Lost on the Roads...
Walter Tawanda Chari, who was critically injured in a traffic accident on the Küçük Erenköy-Tatlısu main road, has succumbed to his injuries despite all medical efforts. The country has witnessed yet another fatal road accident, adding to the rising toll.
According to the Police Press Office, the accident occurred on March 23, 2025, at around 12:30 AM on the Küçük Erenköy-Tatlısu main road.
Walter Tawanda Chari (29) was a passenger in a PK 625 plate vehicle driven by Christopher Stefan Sutton. Following the accident, he was rushed to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he was treated in the Intensive Care Unit. However, he passed away on March 27, 2025.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Christopher Stefan Sutton (27), has been arrested. The police investigation continues.
