Maviş: Nazım Çavuşoğlu and Relevant Officials Must Resign Immediately

Criticizing the early morning raid on the school by the minister and ministry officials, Maviş stated, "While Prime Minister Ünal Üstel's approach to consultation is already questionable, and despite a decision to hold consultations with various stakeholders just yesterday, it is a glaring contradiction that the Education Ministry’s undersecretary and politically appointed department directors raided a school this morning."

In a written statement, Maviş emphasized that this incident reflects not only the state of education but also the deteriorating condition of governance in the country.

"This Is Unacceptable"

Maviş claimed that during the raid, the school principal was subjected to shouting, threats, and psychological abuse, ultimately leading to a fainting episode. "The fact that the school principal lost consciousness demonstrates the gravity of this situation. Those who prioritize political interests over children's right to education, school order, and teachers’ well-being cannot be tolerated," he said.

Maviş went on to say, "These individuals, who refuse to address the real issues in education and instead resort to school raids to showcase their desperation to those who submit to them, have proven how far removed they are from the ethics of governance. Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, along with his undersecretaries and department directors, must resign immediately. Moreover, they should be held accountable in court for disrupting social harmony and the peace of the workplace."
