Suspect Who Stole Company Funds Released on Bail

Recep Zeytunc, who was arrested on charges of stealing money from the company he worked for in Kyrenia, has been released on bail.

Zeytunc, who was employed at the company “İntertim Forest Products Import-Export Manufacturing” located on Karaoğlanoğlu Street, was arrested and brought to court on suspicion of stealing money from the company.
The police presented the facts in court, stating that Zeytunc had worked at the company from October 24, 2024, to February 3, 2025, during which he had misappropriated 120 molds worth 5,760 units by placing fictitious orders for a client named M.D.
Additionally, Zeytunc had received a payment of 10,000 TL from another client company but did not deposit it into the company account, instead misappropriating the funds. He also placed a false order for another client, S.C., and after receiving 500 Euros in cash, failed to deposit it into the company account, keeping the money for himself.
Following a complaint, Zeytunc was arrested on March 25, 2025, and an investigation was launched. The police noted that the investigation was still ongoing but requested that Zeytunc be released on bail, as there was no possibility of him interfering with the investigation.
After evaluating the evidence, Judge Evren Mürsel ordered that Zeytunc be allowed to stand trial without detention under the following conditions: a ban on leaving the country for investigation purposes, reporting to the nearest police station once a week, a cash bail of 30,000 TL, a personal surety bond of 1 million TL, and a 750,000 TL surety bond signed by a valid Kıbrıs Turkish citizen.
