Firefighting Efforts Continue at Güngör Waste Disposal Site
Efforts to control the fire that broke out at the Güngör Solid Waste Facility last evening are still ongoing.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the area has been secured, and smoke continues to emanate from various spots.
The fire, which began around 10:00 PM last night for reasons yet to be determined, is being tackled by firefighting teams as well as construction vehicles from a private company. Due to the wind, the smoke is affecting nearby villages.
