Worker Injured in Construction Accident in Esentepe
A workplace accident occurred in Esentepe on the morning of April 14, 2025, leaving a 53-year-old construction worker injured while operating a power tool.
According to a statement from the police press office, Muhammad Shafique was working at a construction site belonging to a private company when he was injured at around 08:30. Shafique was using a grinder to cut a straight edge when the tool slipped and cut through the nail of his left thumb.
He was taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia, where he received treatment and was subsequently discharged.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
