Üstel to Be Greeted by a Large Crowd
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who completed his contacts in Ankara, is set to return home at 1:20 a.m. in the early hours of Saturday. Following remarks made by Oktay Saral that sparked public outrage, Üstel—who received widespread support—is expected to be welcomed by a large group of supporters.
Üstel traveled to Ankara for critical meetings focusing on the current state of Turkey–TRNC relations and joint cooperation projects. During the visit, he also addressed the controversial and insulting social media remarks made by Turkish Presidential Advisor Oktay Saral, which had a broad public impact.
Üstel is scheduled to arrive in the country at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday. A large crowd is expected to gather to welcome him, and the Prime Minister is also anticipated to make a statement following his arrival.
