Turkish Cypriot Writer and Women's Rights Advocate Neriman Cahit Dies

Turkish Cypriot writer, educator and women's rights advocate Neriman Cahit has passed away. One of the most prominent figures in Turkish Cypriot literature, Cahit was widely respected for her contributions as both a writer and a teacher.

Known for addressing social issues, women's rights and the social fabric of Cyprus in her works, Cahit also devoted many years to teaching, profoundly influencing the lives of countless students.
Her passing has left her many admirers in mourning.
Neriman Cahit was laid to rest yesterday following the noon prayer at İsmail Safa Mosque in Nicosia.
