Ranks Conferred on 168 Promoted Police Officers

A total of 168 police personnel who were promoted by decision of the Police Services Commission received their new ranks at a ceremony held at the Police General Directorate. Speaking at the event, Police Chief Kasım Kuni emphasized that promotions significantly boost efficiency within the organization.

According to the commission's decision, effective as of 13 June 2025, 12 officers were promoted to Police Director and one to Fire Service Director. Additionally, as of 24 June 2025, 12 were promoted to Deputy Police Director, 9 to Chief Inspector, 20 to Inspector, 23 to Assistant Inspector, 1 to Assistant Fire Service Inspector, 85 to Sergeant, and 5 to Fire Sergeant.
The rank ceremony was attended by President Ersin Tatar, Commander of the Security Forces Major General İlker Görgülü, Deputy Commander Brigadier General Mehmet Ali Akbaş, Police Chief Kasım Kuni, Police Services Commission Member Colonel İbrahim Şeker, First Assistant Police Chief Ali Adalier, Second Assistant Police Chief Kaan Resa Saçar, district and division directors, along with the families of the promoted officers.
In his speech, Police Chief Kuni stated that promotion is one of the most important motivators in an institution, highlighting that the recent promotions had increased both internal efficiency and the level of service provided to the public.
