Drunk Driver Injured in Crash and Arrested Following Treatment
A 20-year-old driver, Sadettin Kütük, was arrested for driving under the influence after being injured in a traffic accident in Alsancak early Thursday morning.
According to the Police Press Office, the incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on Ankara Street. Kütük, found to be driving with 190 milligrams of alcohol in his system, lost control of his vehicle while heading west in a KM 848-registered saloon car. The car first struck a utility pole on the western side of the road, then collided with a roadside tree.
He was taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia for treatment and was arrested following his discharge for driving under the influence.
