75 Grams of Cocaine and 35 Pills Seized in Joint Operation

Suspects Eyüp Seyfioğlu, Mehmet Berzan Çiftel, and Ahmet Said Erciyes were arrested and brought before a judge, who ordered their detention for two days as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police officer Celal Durukan presented the case details in court, stating that on July 1, 2025, at around 11:40 a.m., officers observed suspect Eyüp Seyfioğlu behaving suspiciously inside a vehicle in Ortaköy. Upon noticing the police, he allegedly threw a plastic bag out of the car window. The bag was recovered and found to contain approximately 50 grams of what is believed to be cocaine.

A subsequent search of Seyfioğlu’s residence in Ortaköy led to the discovery of an additional 25 grams of suspected cocaine and 35 suspected narcotic pills. According to police, Seyfioğlu claimed in his statement that the drugs were stored at the residence of Çiftel and Erciyes, and that the two suspects had brought the substances to his home on June 30.

Following this lead, both Çiftel and Erciyes were arrested. During a search of Çiftel’s residence in Kızılbaş, police found a metal plate and two cards bearing suspected drug residue, along with 5 and 10 TL banknotes. At Erciyes’s residence in Köşklüçiftlik, police also discovered 5 and 10 TL banknotes suspected of containing drug traces.

Police reported that both Seyfioğlu and Erciyes voluntarily confessed during questioning. The investigation is still in its early stages, and the seized substances have been sent for analysis. Authorities are also searching for two additional suspects believed to have supplied the cocaine and pills to Seyfioğlu. Further witness statements and CCTV footage are expected to be reviewed.

Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ordered the detention of all three suspects for an additional two days.
