250 Drivers Reported in Famagusta

In Famagusta, police inspected 961 drivers. Offences included speeding (78), mobile phone use while driving (2), failure to wear seatbelts (2), driving without registration (25), driving without inspection (3), driving without insurance (3), ignoring traffic signs (13), driving with inadequate lighting (4), and other violations (120). A total of 250 drivers were reported and legal action was initiated. No issues were reported at entertainment venues, bars, or other crowded locations.

5 Arrested, 7 Vehicles Impounded in Kyrenia

In Kyrenia, five individuals without valid residence permits were arrested during public security checks. Traffic police inspected 2,634 drivers, reporting 208 for various offences including speeding (52), drunk driving (3), mobile phone use (1), no seatbelt (5), no insurance (3), dangerous driving (1), electric scooter violations (2), riding a motorcycle without a helmet (2), and using heavy vehicles on main roads (4). Seven vehicles were taken off the road.

83 Drivers Reported, 3 Vehicles Impounded in Morphou

In Morphou, 946 drivers were checked. Violations included speeding (32), driving without a license and insurance (2), mobile phone use (2), driving without insurance (2), and use of a vehicle with a modified exhaust (1). Another 44 drivers were reported for other offences, bringing the total to 83. Three vehicles were removed from traffic. No irregularities were detected during inspections of entertainment venues, coffee shops, betting houses, and other busy areas.
