Veteran Tourism Professional Reha Arar Says Sustained ‘Ada Kıbrıs’ Project Could Boost TRNC Tourism
Reha Arar, a board member of Net Holding, said that the newly launched “Ada Kıbrıs” project could provide significant momentum for tourism in the TRNC if it is developed and sustained.
Noting that many tourism promotion projects had been implemented in the past but failed to deliver long-term benefits due to a lack of continuity, Arar expressed hope that the same mistake would not be repeated with Ada Kıbrıs and offered several recommendations.
He pointed out that the project’s first tangible step, a campaign on flight tickets, could attract visitors particularly to hotels without casinos, and stressed that the opportunity should be used to win back British tourists. Arar added that ensuring visitor satisfaction through well-organized campaigns would help achieve targets and maintain continuity, highlighting that a clean environment and local cuisine are among the key expectations for tourists.
