Erkut Şahali: From Our Perspective, the Presidential Election Is Won; Targeting 60%

Speaking ahead of the 19 October vote, Şahali emphasized the party’s belief that CTP leader Tufan Erhürman will emerge victorious. “Tufan Erhürman will assume the presidency on 19 October,” he stated.

Highlighting the public’s desire for respected leadership, effective representation, and an end to past mismanagement, Şahali said, “The decision belongs to the people of this country, and they have exercised their free will. The power lies with the citizens.”

He also warned that attempts to undermine democracy would fail in the face of public determination, noting that the common ground for all citizens is the demand for change.

Şahali added: “We are united as a society to end uncertainty about the future, to put an end to the cycle of lies and corruption, to demonstrate our determination for solutions to the world, and to leave hopeful tomorrows for our children. This situation cannot continue. It cannot go on like this.”

Citing fieldwork and public opinion polls, Şahali said the data reflect the people’s desire for change. “The new era will begin with Tufan Erhürman, and it will be a bright one. For us, the election is already won; now we await the official result.”

He added that their goal is to achieve 60% of the vote, emphasizing, “We will work harder and we will succeed.”
