Arıklı: Our Greatest Wish Is for the Gaza Ceasefire to Lead to Lasting Peace

Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı said he was pleased that the bloodshed in Gaza had stopped and that civilians could finally breathe, expressing hope that the ceasefire would evolve into a permanent peace.

Commenting on the recent ceasefire in Gaza, Arıklı described the halt in violence and the relief for civilians as a welcome development for all humanity. “It is our common wish that the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza comes to an end. Our greatest wish is for the ceasefire to lead to lasting peace,” he said.
Arıklı also stressed that the international community must act with a sense of responsibility during this process. “All parties must comply with international law and human rights to prevent such suffering from recurring. Ensuring that the people of Gaza can live in peace and security is of great importance for both regional and global stability,” he added.
