Turkey’s Foreign Ministry Congratulates Erhürman on TRNC Win
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has congratulated CTP leader Tufan Erhürman on his unofficial victory in the TRNC presidential election, pledging continued support for the Turkish Cypriot community’s peace and development.
In a written statement, the ministry noted that the election was conducted smoothly and reflected the free and sovereign will of the Turkish Cypriot people, as well as the TRNC’s democratic traditions.
The statement added, “The motherland and guarantor Turkey will continue to contribute to efforts aimed at the peace, welfare, and development of the Turkish Cypriot people, in line with its historical, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities, and in accordance with the realities of the island.”
