Number of Arrests Rises to Eight in Shooting Incident
The number of people arrested in connection with the shooting at the office section of a car dealership in Nicosia has risen to eight.
According to a police press release, İ.M.K. (21), A.B.A. (28), M.M.B. (23), and R.E.D. (30) were arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred at 2:30 a.m. the day before yesterday.
Earlier in the investigation, H.A. (20) and M.E.N. (19) had already been identified and detained. A 9mm handgun believed to have been used in the incident was found in a nearby riverbed.
In a subsequent phase of the investigation, M.G.K. (24) and E.A. (25) were also identified and taken into custody. During a search of E.A.’s residence, authorities found a 9mm handgun, a magazine for the weapon, and a total of 93 live 9mm bullets.
