The meeting began at 9:45 a.m. at the residence of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative and lasted one hour. The two leaders also held a separate 15-minute tête-à-tête before continuing in the presence of their teams.

President Erhürman was accompanied by his Undersecretary Mehmet Dana, while Christodoulides was joined by his negotiator Menelaos Menelaou.

Christodoulides arrived first, followed shortly by Erhürman. Both leaders were welcomed at the entrance by the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Cyprus and Head of UNFICYP, Khassim Diagne. Before moving inside for the meeting, the two posed for photographs, shaking hands in front of the press.
