35,702 Animals Vaccinated In Six Days As Part Of Foot-And-Mouth Disease Response
The Veterinary Department has announced that a total of 35,702 animals were vaccinated nationwide between 19 and 24 December as part of efforts to combat foot-and-mouth disease.
According to the statement, vaccination teams administered vaccines to 34,180 cattle across 300 farms, as well as 1,522 small ruminants at 13 farms during the six-day period.
The department said the vaccination campaign forms part of ongoing measures to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease and to protect animal health across the country.
