Greek Cypriot Couple Released On Fine Return Home
It has been reported that the Greek Cypriot couple tried at the Iskele District Court were released after being fined and have returned to their homes. Greek Cypriot media described the conclusion of the process as “justice being served.”
According to reports, the Greek Cypriot couple who were tried at the Iskele District Court and released after receiving a fine have returned home.
Alithia newspaper wrote that the Keravnos Strovolos Sports Club issued a statement following the couple’s return, saying everyone was pleased and relieved that the “horror film” had come to an end and that justice had prevailed. The statement said that those who had been “illegally detained on baseless and fabricated charges” had returned to their homes.
According to the report, the statement also expressed thanks to everyone who contributed to the conclusion of the process, particularly Turkish Cypriots who showed special sensitivity and mobilised to offer support during this period.
