Rainy Weather to Continue Until Tuesday
The Meteorology Department has announced that the weather will be intermittently rainy until Tuesday, with temperatures expected to drop by around four degrees in the new week.
According to the department’s report covering the period from 10 to 16 January, the region is expected to remain under the influence of a low-pressure system and associated frontal activity.
The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy with occasional rain tomorrow. On Sunday, conditions will be partly cloudy, gradually turning to scattered showers or thunderstorms. Showers or thunderstorms are expected to continue in places on Monday and Tuesday, while from Wednesday onwards the weather is forecast to become slightly cloudy.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius in inland areas and along the coast during the first half of the period, falling to around 13 to 16 degrees in the second half.
Winds will generally blow from the south and west at moderate strength, at times strong, while during the first days of the period they may reach near-gale force in places.
