According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate, together with police units, conducted the coordinated operation yesterday in the districts of Famagusta, Kyrenia and Iskele.
During searches of residences, vehicles and individuals, police seized 236 grams of cannabis packaged for sale, 22 grams of methamphetamine and 50 milligrams of cocaine. In addition, 10 papers containing synthetic cannabinoid-type drugs, 67 MDMA (ecstasy) pills, five hand-rolled cigarettes containing drugs mixed with tobacco, as well as three precision scales with drug residue, two grinders and a glass pipe were taken as evidence.
As part of the operation, A.K. (38), F.B. (40), G.K. (24), Y.Ş. (23), M.Y.Y. (23), M.Ş. (20), C.D. (40), M.N. (27), O.N. (51), A.F.S. (27), S.K.A.A.K. (24), K.A.D.K.A.B. (24) and M.S.A.A.R. (23) were arrested as suspects.
Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
