Cool and Humid Weather to Prevail Throughout the Week
The Meteorology Department has announced that a low-pressure system will bring cool and humid conditions starting today, with showers and thunderstorms expected today and on Wednesday.
According to the department’s weekly forecast, the country will remain under the influence of a low-pressure system and cold air in the upper atmosphere, which is expected to trigger rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday. Weather conditions for the rest of the week are forecast to be partly cloudy, becoming partly to slightly cloudy in the following days.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius in inland areas and along the coast, dropping to around 16–18 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
Winds will blow from the south and west at moderate strength, occasionally strong during the first days of the period. On Wednesday, winds are forecast to reach gale force in some areas, while on other days they will blow from the north and east at moderate intensity.
