Turkey President and AK Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “I once again remind those baby killers who speak ill of my person and our country on social media: the Republic of Turkey is not an ordinary state. No power can point a finger at Turkey or the President of Turkey.”

Erdoğan spoke at the AK Party parliamentary group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. He said humanity is witnessing a period in which the global system built after World War II by the victorious powers is “cracking economically, politically and in terms of security,” while uncertainty remains over what will replace it.

He noted that humanity is searching for a path toward peace, stability and security, but said this hope is still not clearly visible, adding that those who feed on chaos are undermining the global demand for peace.

Erdoğan referred to recent regional developments, saying the ceasefire process had provided temporary relief after weeks of tension, allowing people in the region and the wider world to breathe again. However, he said continued Israeli military actions were damaging prospects for lasting peace.

“Hands Tied With Fists Cannot Negotiate”

Erdoğan said mediation efforts must continue and tensions must be reduced, stressing that “negotiation cannot happen with clenched fists” and that weapons must not replace dialogue.

He warned that Israel was undermining peace efforts and said any opportunity for a ceasefire should be fully utilized. He argued that lasting stability in the region would only be possible despite what he described as Israeli policies.

He also said Israel would likely attempt to sabotage peace whenever progress is made, and accused it of fueling instability rather than contributing to de-escalation.

Erdoğan added that countries supporting peace, including Turkey and Spain, are being targeted, but said this would not silence those defending justice.

“They Will Not Silence Those Who Defend Truth”

He said attempts to suppress critical voices through media and influence networks would fail, adding: “They will not silence brave hearts or chain those who defend truth.”

Erdoğan also praised Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez for his stance on Gaza and congratulated the people of Spain.

He reiterated that Turkey would continue to describe what it sees as injustice in strong terms, saying: “We will continue to call the oppressor an oppressor, the bandit a bandit, and the murderer a murderer.”

He said Turkey would continue to defend civilians affected by the conflict, including Palestinians and Lebanese civilians, and stressed that Turkey would not remain silent in the face of suffering in the region.

Erdoğan concluded by saying Turkey is a historically strong state with deep roots, adding that no threat or pressure would prevent it from defending its position or leadership.
