Bread Price Rises to 28 TL Following LPG Hike
The price of a standard loaf of bread has been increased from 24 TL to 28 TL under a new pricing adjustment announced today.
The previous increase came on 4 February 2026, when the price of a loaf rose from 20 TL to 24 TL.
The latest increase follows a separate hike in cooking gas prices published in the Official Gazette. Under the new regulation, the price of a 10-kilogram cylinder of LPG was raised from 650 TL to 815 TL, marking an increase of 165 TL.
Fuel prices have also climbed sharply in recent months. Following three separate fuel hikes in March, the price of 95-octane petrol increased by around 15 TL, while diesel rose by approximately 21 TL. The increase in petrol prices was reported at roughly 32.5 percent.
As part of the pricing changes that began on 5 March 2026, the litre price of 95-octane petrol rose from 46.12 TL to 52.12 TL, while 98-octane petrol increased from 47.12 TL to 53.12 TL. Euro Diesel climbed from 45.25 TL to 49.25 TL, and kerosene rose from 44.06 TL to 50.25 TL.
