Prime Minister Üstel Invites Public to TEKNOFEST 2025

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has called on the people of Northern Cyprus—especially youth, teachers, and students—to participate in the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, which kicks off tomorrow and runs through Sunday at the former Ercan Airport terminal in Nicosia.

In a statement released by the Prime Ministry, Üstel expressed pride in hosting the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the first time. He highlighted that the event will span a 70,000-square-metre area, featuring numerous participating institutions and organisations showcasing the latest innovations in the tech world.
The Prime Minister noted that Turkish Air Force’s renowned aerobatic team SOLOTÜRK will perform throughout the festival, and 12 new aircraft will be on display. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the latest developments in aviation, space, and technology first-hand.
Üstel emphasised that TEKNOFEST 2025 is more than a large-scale event; it offers unique opportunities for young people, educators, entrepreneurs, and families in the TRNC. He celebrated the achievement of 20 teams from Northern Cyprus reaching the finals, describing it as a clear demonstration of the youth's potential.
"TRNC's Best Teams on the National Stage"
Pointing out that over 15,000 applications were received for the technology competitions, Üstel said that the top teams from the TRNC had earned a place on the national stage. “Each activity at this festival will be a unique experience for our children and youth. It will also serve as a valuable learning and development opportunity for teachers, academics, and families,” he stated.
He added that TEKNOFEST will help shape future leaders in technology and spark the creation of innovative projects. “Hosting such an important event in the TRNC will contribute not only to today but also to our future in aviation and technology,” Üstel said, urging all young people with dreams of shaping the future to attend the festival.
Concluding his remarks, the Prime Minister thanked everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of TEKNOFEST 2025 and extended an open invitation to the people of the TRNC—teachers, students, and especially the youth—to take part in the festival.
