Özersay: We Shared Our Predictions and Suggestions on the New York Meeting
People's Party (HP) leader Kudret Özersay met with President Ersin Tatar as part of the latter’s briefing of political parties ahead of the upcoming 5+1 format meeting in New York on the Cyprus issue.
Following the meeting, Özersay stated that, as someone who has previously taken part in various negotiation processes, he had conveyed his party’s views, predictions, and suggestions regarding the New York meeting to President Tatar.
Özersay noted that they exchanged views on both what happened during the previous Geneva meeting and what could potentially occur in New York. He emphasized that he shared his insights, assessments, and proposals both personally and on behalf of his party.
In response to a question, Özersay confirmed that they had received an invitation ahead of the Geneva meeting but not for the New York meeting, adding that no HP representative would be present in New York.
