Crossings at Metehan Halted Temporarily Due to Protest
Crossings at the Metehan checkpoint were temporarily halted due to a demonstration by the “Isaak-Solomou Memorial Initiative.”
The protest, carried out by members on motorcycles on the southern side of the Metehan Land Border Gate, brought traffic to a standstill for a period before resuming once the demonstration ended.
Greek Cypriot motorcyclists from the initiative are also set to stage protests today at the Ledra Palace and Lokmaci Land Border Gates.
