Finance Minister Berova: 2025 Budget Deficit to Be Lower Than Expected
Finance Minister Özdemir Berova stated that, thanks to the measures implemented, the 2025 budget deficit is expected to be lower than initially forecast.
Speaking on BRT’s program “Manşet+,” Berova emphasized the need to increase revenues in order to boost investments. He also highlighted efforts to implement the Public Financial Information Automation System to enhance fiscal discipline. This system will allow authorities to monitor the customs entry prices of imported goods and address any pricing anomalies.
Berova added that he has no plans to change the biannual cost-of-living adjustments currently in place.
