Investigation Launched Into IVF Centre Following Allegations, Minister Says
Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek announced that an investigation has been launched into an IVF centre after allegations reported in the international media were treated as a formal complaint.
Speaking via telephone on a BRT programme, Dinçyürek said IVF centres operate under the supervision of the ministry and that routine document inspections for this year had already been completed. He noted that the reports were not treated merely as claims but as a formal notification, prompting immediate action.
A ministry board reviewed the issue, and officials visited the centre in question to begin inquiries. Dinçyürek stated that the findings of the investigation will be shared with the public once the process is completed.
He added that relevant international media outlets had also been informed that an investigation was underway. “No one should have any doubt; we are taking the necessary legal steps,” he said, noting that judicial or administrative proceedings would be initiated if required.
Dinçyürek said the case dates back to 2016 and will be examined within the legal framework of that period, stressing that all necessary steps will be taken.
