Speaking on Kıbrıs Postası, İncirli said the government’s failure to announce an election date is damaging the country and increasing uncertainty. She added that CTP is fully prepared for elections but does not support combining electoral processes.

She argued that simultaneous elections would create confusion for voters, with parliamentary candidates, government programmes, municipal candidates, and local representatives all competing in the same environment. “This kind of complexity prevents the healthy reflection of the people’s will at the ballot box,” she said.

İncirli reiterated that CTP is seeing strong public support both in the field and in opinion polls, adding that society is seeking not only a change of government but also a trustworthy governance model.

She highlighted the party’s policy workshops covering education, health, economy, and energy, saying they form the basis of CTP’s future government programme. According to İncirli, the process brought together academics, unions, professional organisations and sector representatives to build a “collective mind.”

İncirli said strengthening state institutions would be a top priority under a CTP government, arguing that public services have been weakened and need restructuring based on merit, transparency and accountability.

She also praised CTP-led municipalities, saying they have continued to deliver services and investment despite economic difficulties, and vowed to expand their success in upcoming local elections.

Concluding her remarks, İncirli said the demand for change in society is clear, adding: “The winner will not only be CTP; the country will change and the people will win.”
