Five People Injured in Four Separate Traffic Accidents

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the first accident occurred on the Değirmenlik-Kyrenia main road around 9:00 AM yesterday. In the accident, Gizem Kaygısız (F-37) suffered a broken back.

The crash occurred when Eren Koca (M-35), driving a car with plate number TSL 385, overtook a truck in the same direction, violating the no-overtaking rule. Gizem Kaygısız, driving a vehicle with plate number LU 519, saw the oncoming vehicle and attempted an emergency stop. As a result, her vehicle spun around on the road, then collided with the truck. The impact caused her vehicle to veer uncontrollably into the right lane, where it hit a car driven by İshak Cintosun (M-29) in the rear.

Gizem Kaygısız was transported to the Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a broken back and is currently under observation in the General Surgery Department.
