Forensic Report Received in Baby Formula Scandal
A forensic report from Turkey’s Council of Forensic Medicine has been submitted to the Nicosia Police Department regarding last year’s alcohol-contaminated baby formula scandal, which occurred in the Neonatal Unit of the Emergency Hospital and caused widespread public outrage.
People’s Party (HP) leader Kudret Özersay shared an update on his personal social media account, stating that a response had been received from the police following the party’s formal complaint on the matter.
According to Özersay, “The police have informed us that a case file is being prepared in light of the forensic expert’s autopsy report, and this file will soon be submitted to the TRNC Attorney General’s Office for legal assessment. Based on the forthcoming opinion, the necessary legal actions will be taken against all those found responsible.”
Emphasizing that they will not allow the issue to be forgotten or buried, Özersay also pledged to continue keeping the public informed.
