Two individuals were arrested across the country following police investigations and inspections into various incidents, according to the Police Press Office.

Fraud in Kyrenia

In Kyrenia, a 32-year-old man, M.A., was arrested for obtaining money through fraud. During 2024, he allegedly presented an invalid yacht registration certificate to another individual and signed a sales contract before a notary, receiving €40,000 in the process.

Injury from Fall in Nicosia

Meanwhile, around 1:00 p.m. yesterday in Nicosia, 52-year-old Kenan Dal fell from approximately four metres while cleaning windows when his ladder slipped. He was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital with fractures to his back and spine. After receiving treatment, he was discharged.

Vehicle Fire in Kyrenia

Later that evening, around 8:00 p.m., a fire broke out in the engine compartment of a parked bus (license plate TRZ 199) on Hasane Ilgaz Street in Kyrenia. Firefighters quickly responded and extinguished the blaze. The engine and rear of the bus were completely destroyed, while the seats and plastic components inside sustained partial damage.

One Arrested for Illegal Residency

During nationwide checks conducted by police yesterday, one person was arrested for residing in the TRNC without legal status. Legal proceedings have been initiated.

Police investigations into all incidents are ongoing.
