Arıklı Criticizes Poll: “Results Reflect EU and US Interests”

Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı reacted strongly to the recent CMIRS poll, claiming the results were biased. Arıklı argued that the poll favored certain outcomes because “CMIRS and the powers behind it—the EU and the US—want it that way.”

Commenting on the survey, which suggested Tufan Erhürman would win the presidency in the first round and that the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) would secure a majority in the general elections, Arıklı shared a humorous anecdote on social media to illustrate his point.
He wrote: “The bears’ assembly was discussing the honey harvest. Every bear had a different opinion. The Head Bear said, ‘This year, the honey will be excellent.’ The young bears asked excitedly, ‘How do you know?’ The Head Bear replied, ‘Because I feel like it.’ Now, CMIRS and the powers behind it—the EU and the US—seem to feel the same way.”
Arıklı’s post highlighted his skepticism about the neutrality of the poll and implied that external influences were shaping the survey’s portrayal of voter preferences.
