Dinçyürek Denies Claims About KIB-TEK Workers’ Health Reports

Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek rejected media reports alleging serious health risks faced by KIB-TEK employees, stressing that the claims did not reflect reality.

Dinçyürek issued a second statement following public debate over medical reports concerning the electricity authority’s staff. He said a rapid inquiry was launched to clarify the situation and that Dr. Beyhan Berova, chief physician at Kyrenia Dr. Akçiçek Hospital, had been tasked with overseeing the process.
According to the minister, the physician involved in the case clarified that the reports had been misinterpreted and provided a written statement to the hospital administration, which was then relayed to the ministry and shared with the public.
Dinçyürek underlined that allegations suggesting employees had suffered from “toxic substances blocking their airways” or that “exposure to toxic material had been confirmed by medical findings” were inaccurate.
“The health of our employees is our top priority,” Dinçyürek said, adding that the ministry would continue to closely monitor developments and keep the public transparently informed.
